The Writer’s Museum holds a rich collection of manuscripts, first editions and portraits dedicated to the lives and work of Robert Burns, Sir Walter Scott and Robert Louis Stevenson amongst other great literary figures of Scotland. Right between the Royal Mile and the Mound, in Lady Stair’s close, is this hidden gem for literature lovers and before reaching the museum you can spot different quotes on the floor!
The museum is in an ideal location to get lost and walk around the closes and buildings from the old town.
