Edinburgh Castle

Edinburgh Castle is Scotland’s number one paid-for tourist attraction and part of the Old and New Towns of Edinburgh’s World Heritage Site. Recently voted top UK Heritage Attraction in the British Travel Awards, the Castle houses the Honours (Crown Jewels) of Scotland, the Stone of Destiny, the famous 15th century gun Mons Meg, the One O’ Clock Gun and the National War Museum of Scotland. St Margaret’s Chapel, the oldest part of the castle, dates from the 12th century. Great attraction for history lovers…just make sure to be there at 1pm!

Ticket price is slightly cheaper when booked in advance. If visiting the castle is definitely in your plans, get the tickets from the website and skip the queue!
